Kandangkan 22 Motor, Polres Sukabumi Perbolehkan Ditangkap Jika Peletahan Knalpot Brong Jadi Standard

JABAR - Police secured 22 motorbikes with Brong exhausts or noise when carrying out order operations to prevent disturbances in public order in Sukabumi City at the moment of Ramadan 2023. "We immediately confiscated all the noisy motorbikes and taken them to the Sukabumi City Police Traffic Unit," said Sukabumi City Police Chief AKB SY Zainal Abidin in Sukabumi, West Java, on Sunday, March 2, confiscated by Antara. According to Zainal, the operation of the noisy exhaust was carried out from Saturday, March 1 night to Sunday, March 2 in the morning. In addition to confiscating a noisy exhaust motorbike, the Sukabumi City Police Traffic Unit also took action against motorists who violated the traffic regulation through the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE).

It must be admitted, said Zainal, even though there has been an appeal, there are still many vehicle owners who are fussy, such as still using noisy exhausts whose voices are disturbing the public. Sukabumi City Police Public Relations Officer Iptu Astuti added that this firm action is expected to create a deterrent effect on all vehicle owners who still use noisy exhausts to replace them with manufacturer standard exhausts.

"This firm action is in accordance with applicable procedures, namely being sanctioned using ETLE, while for motorbikes with Brong exhausts we temporarily confiscate them at the Sukabumi City Police Traffic Unit and if they want to take them back, the owner must first replace the exhaust with the standard one," said Astuti.

In an effort to anticipate security disturbances this weekend, his party also carried out large-scale operations by involving hundreds of personnel, both on duty in the Sukabumi City Police and Polsek, by conducting patrols to monitor the security and social security situation to several locations that are considered prone to disturbances in security and social order. This operation aim is not only to focus on traffic violations, but rather to create conditions at the weekend to prevent crimes or potential disturbances in other security and social order, which of course to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community.
