Revealed, The First Type Of Lamborghini EV Car Is GT 2+2

JAKARTA - In order to move to the full realm of Electric Vehicle (EV), a supercar manufacturer from Italy, Lamborghini is working on one of the 2+2 Grand Tourer (GT) cars which is planned to be released in 2028.

It is also reported that Lamborghini will add a fourth model to help the company's goal of reducing the use of carbon emissions by up to 80 percent.

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann said that the fourth model would complement his current staff who have not produced the GT 2+2 car.

"This will be a new style, because what's missing on the current line-up is GT 2+2, and I think it will be a great addition to two super sports and SUV cars," Winkelmann said.

The 2+2 GT model will adopt fully electric power, which is likely to rival the next-generation Porsche 911 EV. The car will join the ranks of other fully electric models.

Lamborghini does not want to reveal specifications or designs. However, this GT 2+2-style car will later adopt Revuelto's style. It is estimated that the car will not be a replacement for Huracan or Revuelto because Lamborghini said that the technology would not be enough to match the performance of the two top-class supercars.

Even so, it is possible that Lamborghini will adopt the axial-flux motor technology that has been embedded in Revuelto which will increase power and efficiency.

For other models, such as SUV Mangur will get a significant update next year by turning into PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle). Meanwhile, Lamborghini is also preparing Huracan's successor who offers electrical energy combined with a gasoline engine. Then, Revuelto whose name has just been released to replace Aventador who became the first PHEV of the bull logo manufacturer.
