Tips Teaching Children About Islam And Fasting In The Month Of Ramadan From Cynthia Lamusu

JAKARTA - Cynthia Lamusu admitted that she had introduced fasting to her children since she was two years old. The personnel from the Be3 vocal group also introduced fasting to her two children, Atharva Bimasena Saputra and Ataya Tatjana Aisyah Putri in a unique way.

As a singer, Surya Saputra's wife introduced the concept of fasting to her two children using religious songs. It is hoped that this will introduce the Islamic religious theory well to his two children.

"In theory, it's already 2 years old, if I'm at home, one way to use a song. So I was taught to use songs, pillars of faith, harmony of Islam, what is fasting," Cynthia Lamusu told the media crew in Kuningan, South Jakarta recently.

In addition, Cynthia also said that at least the child already knew the theory first. In practice, it will only be implemented this year.

"It's like that (theory) they already know, but they still memorize it, haven't practiced it. It's only this year (the practice)," he added.

Cynthia also admitted that she was quite flexible in managing her children to fast. He allows the child to fast for only a period of half a day.

"Alhamdulillah, my brother (Bima) has fasted. What time do you open? 12 o'clock, half a day. Are you hungry? If you haven't, it's a pity that the school is also early in the morning," he said.

"This is still learning fast, actually, brothers and sisters are still studying, it's okay to be half a day," he continued.

The 44-year-old also stated that she gave gifts to her children if they performed fasting. It's just that he was reluctant to explain in detail about the gift in question.

"I was (given a gift), because yes, my experience from a young age was studying the fasting process, learning was as much as I got the reward, so I was an encouragement. The children were also like that, if it was strong it could be up to 30 days, give understanding, this is also still learning," said Cynthia Lamusu.
