The DKI Jakarta Health Office Will Check The Health Of Bus Drivers Before The 2023 Eid Homecoming Transport
Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Office, Ani Ruspitawati, said that her party had prepared a post to check the health of bus drivers who dispatched travelers from Jakarta to the regions.
This health check post, said Ani, was established at intercity interprovincial bus terminals (AKAP) during the Lebaran season. Ani said, this health post is routinely alerted in the month of Ramadan to Eid every year.
"We have prepared posts at transportation service places, at bus terminals. Usually, D-7 to D+7 is Eid al-Fitr," said Ani at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Wednesday, March 29.
Ani said, the average number of health workers on duty at each post reached 10 people, including doctors, nurses, and ambulance drivers.
At terminals that have a high mobility intensity, the DKI Health Office has alerted a 24-hour post operating with three shifts of health workers.
Later, bus drivers will undergo blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, and urine tests to detect the content of illegal drugs.

"The form of screening examines the risk factors of the driver regarding the health level. The screening includes whether he has good blood pressure or not, diabetes mellitus, and Napza (narcotics and other addictive substances) for the driver," explained Ani.
Furthermore, Ani hopes that the health check on bus drivers can reduce the number of accidents during the Lebaran homecoming season caused by driver health problems such as fatigue and the luggage of other diseases.
