Jayapura Kejari Destroys Evidence Of 2 Kg Of Marijuana And Shabu From 81 Cases
JAYAPURA - The Jayapura District Attorney's Office destroyed evidence of two kilograms of marijuana and about one gram of crystal methamphetamine out of 81 cases of permanent crime. The destruction carried out by burning and dissolving into the water was centered at the Jayapura District Attorney's Office in Jayapura, Papua, Tuesday. The head of the Jayapura District Attorney's Office Alex Sinuraya after the destruction said all the evidence that was destroyed came from 81 cases that had legal force, meaning that the legal process was already inkrah in the court. The most destroyed evidence of the narcotics case was 48 cases with evidence of two kilograms of marijuana and about one gram of crystal methamphetamine. The evidence that was destroyed was part of a simple use for the process in court, because most of it had been destroyed before. "This is the second destruction that was carried out this year because it was used as a sample of evidence in court," explained Alek Sinuraya as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, March 28.
He added that specifically for drug evidence, his party would immediately destroy it after leaving evidence in court. "The destruction is carried out to prevent misuse of evidence because the number is usually quite large," said Alek Sinuraya.
