JAKARTA - Meta is rolling out a new feature on Instagram, which will allow users to follow a topic they like through hashtag or hashtag searches.

Instagram chief Adam Mosseri announced in his broadcast channel on Instagram that when you search for a hashtag on Instagram, you can now follow the hashtag, via a new plus sign next to the search field.

"Now, when you tap on a hashtag, you'll see the search results for the hashtag. You can still follow/stop following or report certain hashtags," Mosseri wrote.

With the launch of this new feature, Mosseri hopes to make it easier for users to find accounts and posts relevant to the searches they are interested in.

Not only Instagram, Meta has also launched many new features to its application, one of which is Threads. Some time ago, the tech giant launched the Trends Now feature on Threads, to make it easier for users to see what topics are being discussed in real-time.

In addition, Meta is also testing its ability to like hiding a Threads post with just one move, which is to simply swipe the post to the right or left.
