People Are Upset With Aisha Weddings Promo Ads

JAKARTA - Netray has monitored the anger of netizens from a wedding service provider site called Aisha Weddings. The wedding planner (WO) was widely discussed after advocating young marriage in the 12-21 years age range.

"We see negative sentiment by criticizing the content and issues promoted by WO Aisha Weddings", said Netray Data Scientist, Mochamad Ari Nasichuddin when contacted by VOI, Thursday, February 11.

In Netray's search, more than 4.801 Twitter tweets were recorded with the keyword "Aisha weddings". Where popular tweets were posted criticizing the services and services offered by Aisha Weddings.

The anger of netizens was added to the mass media which also discussed child marriage. A number of organizations and institutions such as the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), Muhammadiyah, the Indonesian Ulema Council, also gave statements and were even ready to sue the WO.

"Most of the influential accounts cover the issue of young marriage and its dangers for children. So it is not a bot or buzzer account that deliberately stirs up the issue", he explained.

Netray also found that Aisha Weddings' website pages and social media accounts often changed content. Before finally promoting child marriage.

"The website is known to have frequently changed content, they had posted about polygamy and then gone inactive. Then in 2021, they began to load young marriage content", he concluded.

As previously reported, Aisha Weddings offers wedding packages for brides in the age range of 12-21 years. "All Muslim women want to be devout and obedient to Allah SWT and their husband. To be pleasing to Allah and their husband, they must be married at the age of 12-21 years and not more than that", reads the Aisha Weddings ad.
