JAKARTA - Twitter has again postponed the launch of its paid API, which was previously announced to be released on February 13.

In a tweet posted by the @TwitterDev account, the social media platform owned by Elon Musk did not clearly reveal the date, but said that a new API would be coming in a few days.

"There is immense enthusiasm for the changes to come with the Twitter API. As part of our efforts to create an optimal experience for the developer community, we will be delaying the launch of our new API platform by a few more days," Twitter wrote on Tuesday, February 14.

Since it was first announced on February 3, Twitter said it would shut down its free API starting February 9, and then pushed it back to February 13. For whatever reason, this delay is the second delay by Twitter.

Musk also hasn't said much about how paid access to Twitter's API might work, other than revealing the company will be charged $1000 (IDR 15 million) per month for API access with ID Verification to limit bot abuse.

The company also said it plans to introduce a free access tier that will allow "good" bots to tweet up to 1.500 times a month.

"More information to follow in the coming days. Thank you for your continued interest and patience," continued Twitter.
