JAKARTA - Google announced its plans to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) systems into Android Auto with the main goal of limiting the driver's view time to the screen.

It is hoped that this innovation will be launched by the end of this year, along with a special emphasis from Google to reduce distraction for drivers while driving.

Launching Autocar, Tuesday, January 23, that this technology will offer notifications in the form of messages or conversations that are briefly summarized on the screen. This allows drivers to read the information in a short version without taking a long time.

Furthermore, this feature also provides an option for drivers to respond to messages. For example, if someone asks for an estimated arrival time, this system can provide an estimate of arriving to the destination via the Google Maps route.

Not only that, this system is designed to be more practical with fast navigation capabilities. Drivers can easily navigate to certain locations with just one tap, without the need to perform manual processes through the Google Maps app.

Google also announced changes in Android Auto's appearance on vehicle dashboards, which will resemble the user's phone design. This allows drivers to easily set apps to use during travel.

Android Auto is introduced to provide convenience to drivers in using in-vehicle infotainment systems. This system allows easy integration with apps like Spotify and Google Maps, providing added value in the functionality of the program.
