4 Official Names Entering The Call For The Indonesian National Team For The 2023 Asian Cup

JAKARTA - Leaks of player summons to the Indonesian national team for the 2023 Asian Cup have appeared again. Currently, four names have been called up based on information from Persib Bandung and PSIS Semarang.

PSIS is the latest club to announce that its player, Wahyu Prasetyo, will be called to undergo TC in Turkey starting December 20, 2023. The player will be released by PSIS on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

The player nicknamed Hulk emphasized that he was the only PSIS player that Shin Tae-yong had taken. The reason is, there are no names of Alfeandra Dewangga and Muhammad Adi Satryo.

Wahyu's summons received appreciation from the CEO of PSIS, Yoyok Sukawi. He said he was proud and hoped that Hulk could prove himself worthy of defending Red and White in the 2023 Asian Cup starting January 12, 2024.

"Keep going, yes, Hulk. Hopefully you can show your best and get into the 23 players who appear in the 2023 Asian Cup."

Wahyu is the fourth name known to be on the list of players to the Indonesian national team. Previously, Persib Bandung mentioned three of their players, namely Rachmat Irianto, Edo Febriansyah, and Marc Klok, also participated.

PSSI Secretary General (Sekjen) Yunus Nusi, in a letter to the club explained that all players will undergo a health check from 18 to 19 December 2023 in Jakarta.

Then the training camp agenda will begin on December 20, 2023 to January 6, 2024 in Antalya, Turkey.

Then the Indonesian national team underwent the final stage of TC in Doha, Qatar, from January 7 to February 10, 2024.

After that, the Indonesian national team will start appearing in the 2023 Asian Cup which will be held in Qatar starting January 13, 2023. The Garuda squad is in Group D with Japan, Iraq, and Vietnam.
