Intensify The Promotion Of Indonesia's FIFA U-17 World Cup 2023, Organizing Committee For Trophy Tours In 4 Cities

JAKARTA - Promotion is the most emphasized thing ahead of the 30 days of the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia. This was conveyed by the General Chairperson (Ketum) of PSSI, Erick Thohir in connection with the low level of public interest in this grand agenda.

"In the 30 days leading up to the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, I want to encourage a large number of promotional activities for the success of World Cup preparation. That's because the public's awareness level is still 50 percent," said Erick Thohir during a press conference at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Senayan on Tuesday, October 10.

The maximum effort in terms of promotion, called Erik Thohir, aims to increase direct participation considering that the FIFA U-17 World Cup is the first event. Erick Thohir also hopes that the success of the FIFA U-17 World Cup can invite other major events.

"That's why we encourage promotion so that people can be participatory. Given that this is also the first time we have an U-17 world championship, if we can become good hosts and succeed, we certainly hope to have an even bigger event in Indonesia," continued the Chairman of PSSI.

Erick Thohir then explained that the wrong effort made for the promotion of the U-17 FIFA World Cup was to hold a trophy tour which will be held in four cities of the U-17 FIFA World Cup venue.

"For the FIFA U-17 World Cup itself, there are several dates that we ask for support because there are trophy tours in four cities. In Jakarta it will be held on October 15, Bandung October 22, Surabaya October 29 and Solo on November 5," he explained.

"This was held so that the public could know that there was a big event in their respective cities and could take a photo with the trophies they were fighting for,"

In addition to the trophy tour in four cities, Erick Thohir also said that there will be entertainment events in the form of concerts that will be held live or broadcast on television ahead of the opening of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Later there will also be several concerts on television, there will be a hysteric concert tonight as a promotion kick off. There will be another concert on October 10 and November 4, there will also be concerts on November 10 and December 2,' said Erick Thohir.

"God willing, the opening on November 10 is also quite interesting to monitor, hopefully the opening can be hype, especially since we have high-ranking officials from many countries. The world stage is close, God willing, we will produce the best and can increase our position for even bigger FIFA events. pray for not only the event, but the national team is also good," he continued.
