Introduced By Minister Of Youth And Sports To The 2022 ASEAN Para Games Athletes As Mother, Social Minister Promises To Provide "Magic" Stick Assistance

SOLO - Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini was also present at the inauguration of the Indonesian contingent for the 2022 ASEAN Para Games in Solo, Monday, July 25. She also greeted several athletes accompanied by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali.

The Minister of Youth and Sports introduced Risma to the athletes of the 2022 ASEAN Para Games as a mother. "This is the Minister of Social Affairs who is also the mother of all of you," said Zainudin, as quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

After being introduced, Risma then talked with the athletes. The former mayor of Surabaya also promised to provide assistance in the form of an adaptive guide stick for blind athletes.

"I have a stick for the blind that can detect and make sound. So if there is water or fire in front of it, it will automatically issue a warning sound," said the Minister of Social Affairs.

"Later I will provide assistance, in what amount, let me coordinate first," continued the politician from the PDI-P.

Risma admitted that she was optimistic about the progress of the Indonesian contingent in the 2022 ASEAN Para Games. She assessed that the overall champion target would not be difficult to achieve.

"When it comes to targets, I believe that our athletes can become the overall champions of the 2022 ASEAN Para Games, especially since we are the hosts," she said.
