The Rain's Romantic Feature In 'Our Song Together', Invites Fans To Share Sweet Moments

JAKARTA - THE RAIN maintains their musical chemistry for more than two decades. They are still loyal to the initial formation since they were founded more than 22 years ago, namely Indra Prasta (vocals, guitars), Iwan Tanda (guitar, vocals), Ipul Bahri (bass, vocals) and Aang Anggoro (drums, vocals).

The band from Yogyakarta also continues to actively work, including in 2024 which is one of The Rain's most productive years of their career. In early January, just a few months after releasing a single'spreading' under the flag of Heavy Rain Records, the independent label belonging to The Rain, they returned to the studio to continue working on the 8th album planned for release at the end of this year.

The work has been gradual throughout this year. Learning from experience, this time we prefer to work on albums in several separate production sessions. Throughout January and February, we only focused on working on three new songs. The results are maximized," said Indra, vocalist of The Rain in a press release received by VOI (4/3/2024).

A single is presented by The Rain entitled Lagu Kita Berdua to loyal listeners. This song presents the aura of the wedding song through the lines of the lyrics and the music.

The theme is simple, about expressing feelings for someone you love. It turned out that after we played with some friends, everyone captured the atmosphere of the wedding moment in this song. A good thing for us. Because so far, most of The Rain's singles have sad stories. Now so have a wedding song, "explained Iwan.

The process of working on this song, starting from writing to master, has been completed, which is quite short, only takes about 6 weeks.

"It's time to support it. Every January usually the gig schedule is not busy yet, so we fill it with a workshop agenda to recording a new song. The focus is more maintained," said Ipul.

There is something interesting about the lyric video for the single song Kita Berdua. This time The Rain also involved its fans who are familiarly called The Rain Keepers.

"An idea that came from our Publicist, here we invite the Rain Keepers to be involved in this lyric video. Since the theme is wedding song, we ask The Rain fans who are married to send several photos of their wedding journey with their partner," said Indra regarding this unique concept.

Dalam sehari, The Rain sudah menerima ratusan foto. Ada yang mengirimkan foto pre-wedding, foto takar masuk, ritual adat, hingga pusau. Alhamdulillah, kesangatan-nya sangat merasin. Semoga lagu ini selalu mendapat tempat yang special di hati para pengari musik, pungkas Aang.
