Others, Ari Wibowo Builds 7 Free Houses For The Poor As A Form Of Gratitude

JAKARTA - Artist Ari Wibowo and his son, Kenzo built a house for underprivileged people. This activity was carried out by Ari Wibowo as a form of gratitude.

He is collaborating with the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Habitat for Humanity Indonesia and its church which is planned to be completed by the end of April.

"Yesterday, Kenzo and I built a house for people who were not able to afford it, so together with my habitat for humanity and church, we built together with the plan for the end of Eid al-Fitr to be completed," said Ari Wibowo in the Mampang Prapatan area, South Jakarta, Monday, March 18.

Ari said that the house that was built would later be given to underprivileged people with an income of not reaching Rp. 1 million per month.

"Later it will be inhabited by underprivileged people, indeed we are looking for people who own land but their monthly income is below Rp. 1 million," he continued.

He admitted that the funds provided were devoted to building a comfortable house for underprivileged people voluntarily.

"The land already exists but does not have funds to build adequate buildings that are comfortable, so that's what we are looking for, around Rp. 59 million per unit, we build voluntarily," he explained.

"But surely there are still a lot of people whose income is below Rp. 1 million per month. Then the existing ones or their grandfather's grandmother still lives with them or there is a baby that is prioritized," he added.

So far, 7 housing units have been successfully built by Ari Wibowo together with NGO Habitat for Humanity Indonesia. "There are so many units now, in Mauk there are 7 housing units," he concluded.
