Erick Thohir Expressed The Reason AP I And AP II Were Merged Into InJourney Airports

JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir said the integration process for two SOE airport managers had been completed.

This step was taken to strengthen airport management in Indonesia.

As is known, PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia or InJourney officially merged PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) and PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) into PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia or InJourney Airports.

"Alhamdulillah, a long process has met the end, our efforts to strengthen airport management have been successfully realized," he said in an official statement, Friday, December 29.

Furthermore, Erick said, the presence of InJourney Airports and also PT Integration Aviasi Solusi or InJourney Aviation Services (IAS) as a subholding of the InJourney Group is a major breakthrough in the aviation and airport industry sector.

Erick said, this is a form of BUMN adaptive in dealing with changing times.

"With this transformation, we hope that airport management can be more integrated and efficient," said Erick.

Erick said that the transformation in the airport management sector is a must in optimizing the potential of the economic, tourism, and Indonesian logistics sectors.

"Most importantly, this integration must be able to improve the quality of service with the same standardization of operating systems and policies," he said.
