JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has inaugurated a modern fishing village in Biak Numfor, Papua, at the end of November 2023. Assistance, supervision to cooperative management continues to ensure the continuation of the modern fishing village.

Secretary of the Directorate General of Capture Fisheries Trian Yunanda said that fishing villages are currently synonymous with poverty, limited facilities and infrastructure, limited access, slums and so on.
