The Government Inaugurates 26 One Price Fuel Distribution In Papua And Maluku

JAKARTA - The government through the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) inaugurated 26 one-price fuel distribution agencies in the Papua and Maluku regions.

Through this program, the people of the 3T region (extended, outermost, and frontier) continue to be given convenience in obtaining fuel oil (BBM) at affordable prices.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif revealed that the opening of energy access taps for people whose locations are geographically isolated reflects the government's seriousness in working on the development of energy sector infrastructure evenly.

This policy is in line with the implementation of the 5th principle of Pancasila, namely Social Justice for All Indonesian People.

"This is a mandate from Mr. President Joko Widodo. He conveyed the importance of justice for all of our society. Through One Price Fuel, it is hoped that regions throughout Indonesia can enjoy fuel that costs the same as Jakarta or other cities, there is no longer inequality and differences in the price of fuel between regions," said Arifin, quoted on Saturday, November 25.

Just so you know, this program was first launched by President Joko Widodo since 2017 and will continue until the end of 2024.

The cumulative target for the construction of One Price Fuel distributors by the end of 2024 is 583 distributors of One Price Fuel.

"This energy justice has enormous benefits, and we will not stop in 2024 or the existing targets, but the government and all relevant agencies will look for areas that require affordable fuel. This is the Government's effort to meet energy needs for the community and ask Pertamina (business entities) to cover or cover the distribution costs," continued Arifin.

Arifin hopes that there will be a positive impact from the One Price Fuel policy, which, among other things, will realize economic independence by moving the domestic economic sectors of the community and saving fuel spending which is expected to be followed by a decrease in basic food prices, improving the quality of education and health.

"The establishment of this one-price fuel distribution agency is expected to have a positive impact on the economy and improve the quality of life and welfare of the community," said Arifin.

The target for the construction of the one-price fuel distribution in 2023 is 89 distributors, of which on August 24, 2023, 29 distributors of One-price fuel have been inaugurated in 4 locations, namely in Natuna, South Bengkulu, Southwest Sumba and Jayapura Regencies.

At the inauguration of stage 2, 51 distributors of One Price Fuel were inaugurated. The inauguration was held at 4 locations, namely TBBM Sorong (26 distributors), TBBM Krueng Raya Aceh (9 distributors), gas stations 5685806 Alor Regency (11 distributors) and gas stations 66735002 Kapuas Regency (5 distributors). So that the realization of the one-price fuel distributor in 2023 has been built 80 distributors.
