Celebrate 28th Anniversary, Here's ACE's Journey From Fire To Owning 233 Stores

JAKARTA - PT ACE Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES), a retail business unit owned by Kawan Lama Group celebrates its 28th anniversary in 2023.

Established in Indonesia since 1995, ACE is a center for home needs and lifestyle by presenting thousands of types of products.

ACE Director Total Wibowo said that ACES had gone through a long process to date, which initially was the first ACE store to stand in the Karawaci area. ACE is a franchise of an outside brand.

"So, our first shop was in Karawaci, Supermall Karawaci. In fact, in the past we only had a franchise from America. However, now it has been fully operated by Indonesia," saiddy at the 28th Anniversary ACE press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday, November 7th.

Buncah mengatakan, bahwa toko pertama ACR tersebut sempat terbakar akibat dari kerusuhan. Akan tetapi, para pendiri ACE tidak menyerah dan terus berjuang dalam mengembangkan bisnis tersebut.

So, this year, ACE has a total of 233 stores in 66 Indonesian cities.

"We didn't even have a shop because at the time of the riots that took place at Supermall Karawaci, our shop had a fire. So, we didn't have the shop," said fire.

"But, yes, in the end we developed to have 233 stores in 66 cities," he added.

He added that in the future, ACE will open more shops in the country, so that it can reach more Indonesian families.

"(For the future) of course we will continue to open more (stores) because we see that the Indonesian market is very large and there are still many opportunities (opportunity)," he added.
