Ministry Of PUPR Achieves Fair Opinion Without Exceptions, Minister Basuki: That's Ordinary

BOGOR - The Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK-RI) gave an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) award to the Ministry of PUPR on the 2022 Financial Statements.

Member IV BPK RI Haerul Saleh said, this is a normal thing. Because, every ministry/institution must get an opinion on WTP.

"BPK RI provides a WTP opinion for the Ministry of PUPR. WTP is all your right. I personally congratulate PUPR who received the WTP opinion, hopefully it can be maintained," Haerul told reporters in the Bogor area, West Java, Tuesday, August 8.

Haerul Saleh said the Ministry of PUPR had received five WTP opinions and could serve as a model as good state financial manager for other ministries or institutions.

According to him, the opinions and recommendations given by the BPK are one of the requirements for officials to take up positions.

"They cannot occupy any positions if, for example, they have BPK findings and have not been completed," he said.

Even so, Haerul Saleh said that there are still repeated financial problems that must be resolved within the next 60 days or since the LPH is submitted.

On the same occasion, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said the WTP opinion was a common thing.

"WTP is normal, WTP is the result of what we are doing in the process," he said.

Basuki said, until early August 2023, the follow-up to the BPK opinion that had been carried out by the Ministry of PUPR had reached 72 percent.

"God willing, by the end of 2023 it will reach 80 percent," he added.
