The trial of purchasing subsidized fertilizers through the I-Pubers application has taken place in five provinces in Indonesia.

PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) ensures that the personal data of farmers who are included in the I-Pubers application is safe from cyber attacks.

"We implemented all cyber security protocols and we also implemented cybersecurity with ISO 3000. We also implemented appropriate data base protection, so that personal data from farmers is more protected," said Director of Business Transformation of Pupuk Indonesia, Panji Winanteya Ruky to reporters in Gianyar Regency, Bali, Monday, July 3.

Still, Panji said, Pupuk Indonesia is currently testing the use of I-Pubers in five areas, namely Bangka Belitung, Riau, South Kalimantan (Kalsel), Aceh, and Bali with a total of about 1,000 kiosks marketing subsidized and non-subsidized fertilizers.

After the trial, the I-Pubers will be implemented nationally or used in all kiosks in other provinces to distribute subsidized fertilizers to farmers who are deemed entitled to receive them.

Through the I-Pubers application, said Panji, the company can monitor the redeeming of fertilizer in real time from kiosks to farmers through a QR code or barcode in stages.

He believes that with the application of integration between T-Pubers belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) and the Pupuk Indonesia Partner application, the distribution process of subsidized fertilizers will be easy to monitor.

"We are in the process of wearing a QR so that this subsidized fertilizer is tracked or traced by the movement from factories to farmers. This is in the process of implementing it in stages, maybe it can still be implemented starting later this year," concluded Panji.
