Kemenkop UKM Prepares For Cooperatives For Victims Of Serious Human Rights Violations In Pidie Aceh

The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) through the Deputy for Cooperatives has prepared a cooperative for the victims of gross human rights violations (Human Rights) in Sigli, Pidie Regency, North Aceh.

This is a real effort by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs to take part in the context of kick off the settlement of non-judicial gross human rights violations that will be carried out by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on June 27, 2023.

Asdep Pembangunan SDM Perkoperasian dan Jabatan Functional Kemenkop UKM Nasrun menyebut, dengan beroperasi maka masyarakat Pidie, khususnya korban pelanggaran HAM berat diharapkan dapat segera bangkit baik dari sepitang mental maupun ekonomi.

"Cooperations can be a forum for victims of gross human rights violations to jointly improve the economy, so that the assistance that has been given does not just end for each victim," he said in a written statement, Monday, June 26.

For example, said Nasrun, if you receive cow assistance, the cow can later be managed by cooperatives with a cooperation agreement (syirkah) for profit sharing or profit-sharing schemes and those that take care of (culture) are cooperatives.

The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs is also ready to facilitate training and assistance to the community and cooperatives. The business model or scheme offered is the profit-sharing cooperation between the human rights victims who are heavy cattle aid recipients and cooperatives that will carry out braking.

"Child ownership remains with the community, cooperatives only carry out braking cultivation, so that the assistance has sustainability, while if managed individually, of course development and sustainability can be less than optimal," said Nasrun.

Currently, there is an existing cooperative in Pidie, namely the Beudeh Beusaree Producer Cooperative, and this is only an alternative offered. However, the decision is still returned to the community who receive the best choice of assistance.

In delivering operational materials, Nasrun asked one question as well as confirmation of the willingness of the community to be victims of human rights violations to enter into cooperative members and simultaneously to three times replied that they were willing and would become members of the cooperative.

On the same occasion, Acting Regent Pidie Wahyudi Adisiswanto expressed his gratitude for the attention of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs to victims of gross human rights violations in Pidie Regency, one of which was by conducting cooperative socialization.

"We hope that people who participate in socialization absorb the knowledge given, and can apply it to daily life," he said.
