JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) entering the age of 54 is determined to support and encourage domestic development together with the government.

Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Arsjad Rasjid, said that the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was here to help and support the development of the business world with the government to increase economic growth and community welfare.

"We also continue to provide guidance to regional MSMEs so that they can develop and synergize with the government," he said during the 54th anniversary celebration of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on September 24, 2022, quoted by Antara, Monday, September 26.

In supporting domestic development, he continued, so far the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has used four pillars, namely health recovery and the development of the national health industry, regional and national economic improvements, improving entrepreneurship, and strengthening internal organizations and regulations.

"Although the world is currently being hit by many global challenges, with these four pillars, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has managed to keep producing many achievements, especially to improve the Indonesian economy," he said.

Arsjad added that the programs and achievements created by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry based on the four pillars are like the mutual cooperation vaccination program and the mutual cooperation oxygen house program based on the pillars of health strengthening.

Then, the voluntary disclosure program (PPS), net zero hub, and the closed-loop partnership based on the pillars of strengthening the national and regional economy.

Then the entrepreneurship and vocational working group program of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry based on the pillars of entrepreneurship development and competence.

Arsjad also said that as a strategic partner of the government, his party continues to support efforts to recover the national economy, but also does not hesitate to express constructive criticism if government policies are considered wrong and inconsistent.

"We will continue to help the government encourage national and regional economic development to realize a Golden Indonesia in 2045, where Indonesia can become the 5th largest country with economic power in the world," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the Coordinator for Human Quality, Research and Technology and Innovation, Carmelita Hartoto, said that the 54th Anniversary of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is very special because it coincides with the appointment of Kadin Indonesia as the person in charge of the B20 Presidency.

We are very proud to be trusted to host the B20 Presidency. The 54th Anniversary celebration is also used as an event to socialize the B20 Presidency," said the Chairperson of the 54th Anniversary of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This, he added, is an effort by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to encourage national and regional entrepreneurs to participate actively, take concrete actions, and encourage collaboration in order to open investment opportunities in Indonesia.
