Central Java Police have asked the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) on toll roads to be reproduced to help meet the needs of travelers driving electricity during this year's Eid homecoming flow.

"We have written to PLN to increase the number of SPKLUs at rest areas on toll roads," said Director of Lantas Polda Central Java Kombes Sonny Irawan in Semarang as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 27.

According to him, until now there have only been 21 SPKLU points along the Trans Java toll road.

"We ask SPKLU with fast chargers," he added.

To electric car users, Sonny appealed to prepare a good homecoming plan.

He explained that the operation of electric cars is very dependent on speed, acceleration, and road congestion conditions.

Therefore, according to him, travelers in electric cars are advised to pay attention to charging patterns and try to bring portable batteries as reserves.

"The distance from electric cars is about 400 to 500 km. If the Jakarta-Semarang distance is about 400 km, then refills can be done upon arrival in Semarang," he said.

He also appealed to travelers in electric cars to make the best use of their time when charging at rest areas.
