One Way To Contra Flow Will Be Implemented During The 2024 Eid Homecoming, Here's The Complete Schedule

JAKARTA - The government and the police will make traffic arrangements to make movement during the Lebaran 2024 homecoming period run smoothly. These include one-way or one-way policies, odd-even, and contra flow.

The policy is outlined through a Joint Decree (SKB) between the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), Korlantas Polri and the Ministry of PUPR regarding Road Traffic Regulation and Crossing During the Period of Homecoming and Backflow of Eid Transportation in 2024/1445 H.

Directorate General of Land Transportation, Hendro Sugiatno said that this traffic engineering system will be implemented from April 5, 2024 or D-5 before Eid al-Fitr.

"In addition to restrictions on goods transportation, during the Eid holidays there will be traffic regulation," he said in a virtual press conference, Sunday, March 17.

1. One-way system

Hendro said that for one-way systems or one-way when the homecoming flow takes effect on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 14.00 local time until Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 24.00 local time.

"It started from KM 72 section of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) to KM 414 section of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road," said Hendro.

Then, valid on Monday and Tuesday, April 8 and 9, 2024, each at 08.00 local time until 24.00 local time starting from KM 72 section of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road to KM 414 section of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road.

Furthermore, the closure of entrances, cleaning of lanes and rest areas starting from KM 414 B of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road to KM 72 B of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road with the following conditions:

1. Friday, April 5, 2024 at 12.00 local time until 14.00 local time;

2. Monday and Tuesday, April 8 and 9, 2024, each at 06.00 local time until 08.00 local time

Then, normalization of traffic conditions and opening of entrances starting from KM 414 B of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road to KM 72 B of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road section on Monday to Wednesday, April 8 to 10, 2024, respectively, at 00.00 local time until 02.00 local time.

Backflow

Hendro said the one-way policy when the return flow of Lebaran took effect on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 14.00 local time until 24.00 local time.

"Starting from KM 414 section of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road to KM 72 section of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road," he said.

Then on Saturday, April 13, 2024, local time will also be enforced starting at 08.00 until 24.00 local time starting from KM 414 section of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road to KM 72 section of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road.

Furthermore, on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 14.00 local time until Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 08.00 local time starting from KM 414 section of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road to KM 72 section of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road.

Hendro also said that there would be road closures, lane cleaning and rest areas starting from KM 72 A of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road to KM 414 A section of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road with the following provisions:

1. On Friday, April 12, 2024 at 12.00 local time until 14.00 local time.

2. On Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 06.00 local time until 08.00 local time.

3. On Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 12.00 local time until 14.00 local time.

Then, normalization of traffic conditions and opening of entrances starting from KM 72 Aruas Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road to KM 414 Aruas Semarang - Batang Toll Road:

1. On Saturdays and Sundays, April 13 and 14, 2024, each at 00.00 local time until 02.00 local time.

2. On Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 08.00 local time until 10:00 local time.

Hendro said that during the implementation of the one-way system on the Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road when the flow of homecoming and motorized vehicles from the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan Toll Road heading towards Jakarta or Semarang can exit at the Cimalaka Toll Gate and the Cisumdawu Jaya Toll Gate.

2. Odd Even

Hendro said the implementation of the odd-even system would also apply to two circumstances, namely during homecoming and backflow. When the homecoming flow is enforced on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 14.00 local time until Sunday, April 7, 2024 at 24.00 local time starting from KM 0 of the Jakarta City Inner Toll Road to KM 414 section of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road.

Then, on Mondays and Tuesdays, April 8 and 9, 2024, odd-even applications were also submitted, each at 08.00 local time until 24.00 local time starting from KM 0 of the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road to KM 414 section of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road.

Backflow

Hendro said that traffic arrangements through the odd-even scheme will be applied during a return complaint, namely on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 14.00 local time until 24.00 local time starting from KM 414 section of the Semarang-Batang Toll Road to KM 0 of the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road.

Then on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 08.00 local time until 24.00 local time KM 414 toll road section Semarang-Batang to KM 0 of the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road.

Then, on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 14.00 local time until Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 08.00 local time, KM 414 for the Semarang-Batang Toll Road to KM 0 for the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road.

"For odd-even systems, it generally applies to passenger vehicles, buses and transportation of goods with even vehicle numbers prohibited from crossing on odd dates, and vice versa," he said.

Hendro also explained that the provisions for the odd-even system were excluded for state-led vehicles, red official vehicles, fire engines, ambulances, yellow-plate public transportation, electric vehicles, toll road manager operational vehicles, and basic goods vehicles.

3. Contra flow

Hendro said that in addition to one-way or one-way and odd-even policies, the government and the police will also implement a contra flow system when the homecoming and backflow are implemented.

During the homecoming flow, he said, contra flow was held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 14.00 local time until Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 24.00 local time.

This policy will be implemented starting from KM 36 section of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to KM 72 section of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road.

Meanwhile, during the backflow, continued Hendro, the contra flow will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 14.00 local time until Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 08.00 local time.

This policy applies from KM 72 of the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road to KM 36 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.
