"The results of monitoring from the stock are sufficient and there are," said Acting (Pj) Mayor of Yogyakarta Singgih Raharjo as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, March 9.

In addition to ensuring the availability of basic commodities, the Yogyakarta City Government also guarantees that the 3 kilogram LPG (kg) stock is safe.

Based on the results of monitoring at the agent level, according to him, the demand for 3 kg LPG is expected to decrease during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, because cooking activities during the day are not high and many students are going home.

If demand increases, he said, agents will immediately coordinate with the Trade Office with Pertamina so that it can be fulfilled in a day.

In the city of Yogyakarta, there are 960 bases and 14 LPG agents in the city of Yogyakarta with a quota of approximately 22,300 metrictons or the equivalent of refilling 7.4 million 3 kg LPG cylinders.

The second monitoring was carried out in the warehouse or depot of PT Indomarco Prismatama, Kotagede, Yogyakarta for rice commodities, cooking oil and the need for Eid al-Fitr such as dumplings and biscuits.

Singgih said monitoring at the retail store warehouse level was to ensure the availability of sufficient food during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, especially rice.

"The stock is sufficient. Both in terms of necessities during the month of Ramadan and Eid, such as sugar, ferredness, biscuits and so on, the stock is very sufficient. In Indomaret warehouse there is also SPHP rice sold at the price set by the government. It turns out that the SPHP rice is in demand by the Indomaret customer community because in one day the dropping can run out immediately," explained Singgih.

His party stated that with the request for rice, the Stabilization of Supply and Food Prices (SPHP) which is in demand, the Yogyakarta City Government and Bulog will be able to distribute more.

In addition to ensuring availability in retail stores and traditional markets, according to Singgih, efforts to control prices through low-cost markets and market operations will continue to be carried out so that people get rice at a reasonable price.

"Other commodities that are always needed such as eggs, chicken meat will also be monitored. We are also collaborating between regions with Blitar, which is the producer of eggs. We will explore it," he said.
