A Pair Of Lovers Of Abortion Perpetrators In Makassar Named As Suspects

Makassar Police Unit for the Protection of Women and Children (PPA) Satreskrim Polrestabes Makassar has named a suspect status for the lovers who have an abortion resulting from an illicit relationship in the boarding house room of Jalan Sukaria 1, Tamamaung Village, Panakkukang District, Makassar, South Sulawesi.

The two suspects, female RS (23 years old), a resident of Enrekang Regency and a man with the initials IK (24), a resident of Toraja Regency, South Sulawesi, were proven to have intentionally abort their child resulting from an illicit relationship after consuming an abortion drug purchased through an online store.

The Head of PPA Satreskrim Makassar Polrestabes, Iptu Syahuddin Rahman, said that investigators after conducting a marathon examination, named a couple of lovers who had an abortion for a 6-month-old baby fetus as a suspect, were proven to have intentionally taken the abortion drug.

"We have named a suspect today," said Syahuddin, Thursday, February 7.

Based on the suspect's statement, Syahuddin said that the two agreed to have an abortion because they did not want to be caught by each side of the family. The baby's mother asked her boyfriend to buy medicine for abortion online on Tuesday night.

"The pregnancy is about six months afraid that parents and families will choose the way to abort the pregnancy, (drugs) are purchased online," said Syahuddin.

After the ordered medicine arrived, the perpetrator immediately drank as many as six seeds. Then two seeds were inserted into the genitals.

"Six seeds he swallows in the mouth and then two seeds in his genitals," he said.

After taking the abortion drug, the suspect began to feel a contraction until the baby he was carrying came out by itself.

"As a result of the drugs he was taking, there was a contraction and this baby came out," he continued.

Initially, this six-month-old baby girl was born safely, but soon passed away.

"First he (the baby) lived, not long after he died," he said.

To account for their actions, lovers are subject to Article 428 Number 17 of the Health Law.

"The threat of a sentence of 5 years (imprisonment) for both of them," he said.

As previously reported, a couple was arrested by the police after having an abortion in her boarding house, Jalan Sukaria 1, Tamamaung Village, Panakkukang District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi, last Tuesday.

The actions of the couple IK (25) and RS (24) were revealed to have started from the suspicion of the local RT against the two who asked for a death certificate and then contacted the Panakkukang Police and then jointly went to the location and found a 6-month-old baby lying in the boarding room.

The Panakkukang Police Criminal Investigation Unit officers immediately examined the lovebirds and summoned the South Sulawesi Police Dokpol Bidokes officers to evacuate to Bhayangkara Hospital, Makassar for an autopsy on the fetus's body.
