Agam Bawaslu Receives 16 Reports Of Alleged Election Violations

AGAM - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Agam Regency, West Sumatra, received 16 reports from residents regarding alleged violations during the quiet period until the implementation of the February 13-28 2024 muai election.

Coordinator of the Division for Handling, Violation, Data and Information of Bawaslu Agam Feri Irawan said the 16 reports were received through the Agam Regency Bawaslu with 10 reports, the rest through the Panwaslu sub-district with six reports.

He mentioned the six reports received by Panwaslu in the sub-district, namely Kamang Magek, Ampek Angkek, Malalak and Ampek Koto sub-districts.

He said reports of alleged violations from residents were received on February 13-28, 2024 in the form of allegations of intimidation, money politics and procedural errors in the election.

He explained that the seven alleged violations had been processed. The report was terminated because after the process of handling violations, the report was not sufficient evidence and was stopped.

Meanwhile, the other nine reports are still in the process of being handled.

The handling involved an Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu) consisting of elements of the Agam Kejari, Agam Police and Agam Bawaslu.
