A total of 559 members of the National Police have secured the Bau Nyale tradition which will take place centrally at Seger Beach, Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Central Lombok Regency.

Head of the Public Relations Section of the Central Lombok Police, Iptu Hariono, said that the 559 members of the National Police came from a combination of Central Lombok Police personnel and the NTB Police.

"The one from Central Lombok is 369 personnel, BKO (operational assistance) from the NTB Regional Police is 190 people," Hariono said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 29.

He explained that 190 BKO personnel from the NTB Regional Police consisted of 90 car brigade units (satbirmob), 90 units, and 10 people from polarud.

Hariono confirmed that the personnel on duty had been equipped with a number of security standards.

As a form of preparation for security from the Sasak Tribe tradition event which is now one of the mainstay tourism agendas of NTB, the National Police will hold a troop rally with the regional government and the TNI.

"This afternoon a troop rally will be held in two areas of the East parking area of the Mandalika Circuit," he said.

Regarding the social conflict that has occurred between the people of Ketara Village and All Anyar, Hariono ensured that his party had paid attention to this so as not to appear in the Bau Nyale tradition.

"So, even though the current situation can be said to be safe, there are no disturbances, the question of the two regions that have been in conflict remains our attention," he said.

The form of attention to this, explained Hariono, his party has alerted security personnel on the Lombok International Airport (BIL)-Mandalika Bypass route, a location that has been a point of tension between the people of Ketara Village and All-Anyar Village.

"On the bypass route, there are still personnel on standby," he said.

By explaining this, Hariono ensured that the current situation and conditions at the location of the Bau Nyale 2024 tradition were under control.

"Including the movement of traffic flow, we also secure it, and now it is still monitored safe and smooth," he said.
