Golkar Prepares Ridwan Kamil Or Ahmed Zaki For The 2024 Jakarta Pilkada, The Certainty During The Special Forum

JAKARTA - General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto said his party was preparing two of its cadres to run for the Jakarta Pilkada.

The two cadres prepared to run as candidates for governor (Cagub) in Jakarta are Ridwan Kamil and Ahmed Zaki Iskandar.

"Both of them have been given a Golkar letter, an assignment for the regional election (Jakarta)," said Airlangga, who is also the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, was found at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Monday, February 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said both of them were prepared by the party at this time, because they had helped increase Golkar's votes in the 2024 election. However, regarding who will really advance, it depends on the results of the last survey related to the two names.

"Later it will be narrowed and will be selected in a special forum (Golkar) according to the election schedule," he said.

The schedule for the implementation of the governor election has been regulated in Article 201 Paragraph (8) of Law Number 10 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 1 of 2015 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulations in Lieu of Law Number 1 of 2014 concerning the Election of Governors, Regents and Mayors into Laws (UU Pilkada).

In this article, it is stated that the election of governors and deputy governors, regents and deputy regents as well as mayors and deputy mayors throughout the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia will be held in November 2024.

Regarding the regional elections this year, Commission II of the DPR RI has held a hearing (RDP) with the General Election Commission (KPU), the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), the Indonesian Bawaslu and the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP) RI.

Commission II of the DPR RI together with the government and election organizers then agreed that the simultaneous regional head elections (pilkada) would be held on November 27, 2024.
