KPK Reminds Honest Officials Not Just Abort Obligations When Reporting Wealth

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) reminded officials not to carelessly fill in the state administrator's wealth report (LHKPN). Filling in must be honest, it should not just carry out obligations.

"The KPK reminds state officials not only to abort their obligation to report their assets but also to fill out their wealth reports honestly, correctly and completely," said KPK Spokesperson for Prevention Ipi Maryati in a written statement quoted on Monday, February 26.

Ipi explained that officials who are required to report their wealth periodically for the 2023 period have been awaited since January 1. They still have until March 31 and filling can be done by accessing the elhkpn.kpk.go.id site.

Meanwhile, there are currently 159 agencies at the central and regional levels whose 100 percent of officials have reported their assets. "Although the deadline set for submitting the periodic LHKPN is still long, namely March 31, 2024," said Ipi.

The 159 agencies consist of 2 ministries/agencies/agencies in the central government; 2 state-owned enterprises (BUMN); 2 provincial governments; 45 district/city governments; 28 district/city DPRD; and 80 regional-owned enterprises (BUMD).

In detail, 2 ministries/agencies/agencies that have reported are BP Batam with a total of 288 mandatory reports and the State Administration Agency (LAN) 78 must report.

"Meanwhile, two SOEs that have also reported 100 percent are PT Industri Battery Indonesia, totaling 2 are required to report and PT Karabha Digdaya with 2 must report," explained Ipi.

Meanwhile, two provinces that have reached 100 percent of reports are the West Kalimantan Provincial Government with 639 mandatory reports and the Riau Islands Provincial Government with 1,117 must report.

Next, for district/city governments whose officials have reported LHKPN are Wonogiri Regency, Mataram City, South Tapanuli Regency, Denpasar City, Klaten City, Blora Regency, Klungkung Regency, Boyolali Regency, and Surakarta City.

"KPK appreciates the commitment and initiative of agencies that advance reporting deadlines with various administrative sanctions to encourage reporting rates in their environment," said Ipi.

"This shows one form of commitment and the first step to prevent corruption by encouraging transparency and accountability of state administrators in reporting their wealth," he concluded.
