Police Investigate A Quarrel Leads To Death In Semarang, One Stabbed To Death, Another Stabbed

SEMARANG - Police are investigating the alleged murder of a young man around Jalan Kartini II, Semarang City, Central Java, who was allegedly stabbed to death with a sharp weapon.

East Semarang Police Chief Iptu Iwan Kurniawan said the disclosure of the incident that killed the victim named Ilham (23) began with a doctor's report at dr. Kariadi Semarang who received a patient with a stab wound at the Emergency Installation (IGD) in the early hours of the morning.

"Hospital officials received two patients with stab wounds, one patient is already dead," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, February 22.

The police who received the report then asked for information from the survivors and checked and processed the crime scene (TKP) at the scene.

From the information of a number of witnesses, he continued, the victim who died was named Ilham (23). Meanwhile, the victim who was injured and still survived was identified as Rizki Ginanjar (23), a resident of Tembalang, Semarang City.

The incident began when the two victims and six friends drank alcoholic beverages in front of an inn on Jalan Kartini II, Semarang City, at around 03.00 WIB.

"Then there was a commotion and chased each other between the victim and the alleged perpetrator who was carrying a sharp weapon," he said.

Ilham's victim, who fell about tens of meters from the inn, was then stabbed by the perpetrator who was then left behind.

The two victims who suffered injuries were then rushed by their friends to Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang.
