BP2MI Asks PMIs To Be Alert Parties To Promise Work Placement In South Korea

JAKARTA - Head of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency (BP2MI) Benny Rhamdani asked prospective Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) who want to work in South Korea (South Korea) to be careful of fraudulent modes that promise placement.

Head of BP2MI Benny Rhamdani said that there are many enthusiasts to fill the position in the Employee Summit System-Test of Proficency in Korean (EPS Topic) placement scheme.

For this reason, he reminded prospective workers not to trust the Job Training Institute (LPK) which promises placement in Ginseng Country after the EPS is toypic.

"It is a fraud and it is a crime that we should never be deceived, cheated as if the business of leaving the name of a prospective worker after passing the EPS topic is the work of the LPK," he said at a press conference in Jakarta, Tuesday, February 20, which was confiscated by Antara.

This was revealed when prospective Indonesian workers who would take the exam were to get placement in South Korea.

He also advised to report parties who ask for money in providing services for prospective migrant workers, especially those from BP2MI.

Registration for the 2024 EPS Topics exam will be carried out from February 15 to February 20, 2024. The total number of test registrants for placement in South Korea through this scheme has reached 62,930 people.

The PMI placement scheme through EPS Topics for this year itself adds sectors that will receive Indonesian workers. After previously only opening placements for the fisheries and manufacturing sectors, now there are placements for the Shipbuilding, Service 1 sector for services such as waste processing and Service 2 which includes jobs in hotels and restaurants.
