Jokowi Ensures Law On Political Parties To Meet, Including PKB And PDIP

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that he would invite all elite political parties (political parties) without exception.

This was said by Jokowi after meeting with the Chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Sunday, February 18 evening.

"All, all (will be invited to meet)," said President Jokowi after attending the 2024 National Press Day Commemoration Peak in the Ancol area, Jakarta, Tuesday.

When asked whether he would invite the elite of the National Awakening Party (PKB) and also the PDI-P (PDIP), Jokowi answered the same thing.

"Everyone is invited," he explained.

Previously, related to his meeting with Surya Paloh a few days ago, Jokowi stated that he wanted to become a "bridge" for parties.

"This is only the beginning. Later when it is final, we will convey it. But actually I am just a 'bridge', the most important thing is later parties," said Jokowi after the inauguration of the State Defense Center Hospital, Commander General Sudirman and 20 TNI hospitals, in Jakarta, Monday (19/2).

President Widodo did not explain in detail what was meant by being a "bridge". However, he hopes that the meeting will be useful for national politics and the state.
