Regarding Prabowo Sorry In The Presidential Candidate Debate, TKN: Confirming His Enemy Is Not Anies-Ganjar

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN) Expert Council, Budiman Sudjatmiko, explained the meaning of the apology submitted by the presidential candidate (candidate) Prabowo Subianto in the closing of the Fifth Debate of the 2024 General Election Candidate at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, February 4 evening.

Budiman explained that Prabowo apologized to all parties, ranging from debate rivals to election organizers.

"This is the nature of basic statesmanship. He (Prabowo) stands as the leader of the nation, not the leader of certain groups. Pak Prabowo emphasized that his enemies were not Pak Anies and Pak Ganjar, no matter how much debate had occurred. However, his enemy is poverty and backwardness," Budiman said in his statement, Tuesday, February 6, quoted by Antara.

He considered that the debate between the five presidential and vice-presidential candidates was the "mother" of all political debates in Indonesia. At that moment, continued Budiman, Prabowo paid his respects and made the stage of debate by emitting statesmanship and leadership.

Budiman added that Prabowo is the only presidential candidate who openly appreciates the services of the Indonesian presidents.

"He emphasized the importance of a sustainable unit, reminded us all what previous leaders had done, and what we could continue. This is a unit from an independent Indonesia to this day," he explained.

Budiman explained the meaning of Prabowo's gratitude to the first President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno for laying down the foundations of modern nationality.

Prabowo is of the view, continued Budiman, that Bung Karno built the largest narrative for the Indonesian nation with a speech on June 1 for the birth of Pancasila, which is the nation's largest foundation and is still firmly held today.

"Furthermore, Mr. Harto (Indonesian 2nd President Suharto) is the founder of modern economic development after Bung Karno. Then, Mr. Habibie (Indonesian 3rd President BJ Habibie) made the Indonesian people aware of the importance of human resource development (human resources) and development based on technology encourages Indonesia to love science," said Budiman.

Then, the 4th President of the Republic of Indonesia Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur is the founder of the principle of national tolerance. Budiman said Gus Dur was a reminder of the character of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, so that tolerance was grown in the era of Gus Dur's leadership.

"Mrs. Megawati is the founder of institutional institutions for democratic politics, such as the KPK (Corruption Eradication Commission) and the Constitutional Court (Mahkamah Konstitusi). Mrs. Mega is also reorganizing democratic politics," he said.

Furthermore, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Soesilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), according to Budiman, received very high appreciation by Prabowo, for continuing his democratic tradition and maintaining the tradition of peace after an era full of political conflicts after democracy.

Then, finally, said Budiman, President Joko Widodo is the founder of the physical infrastructure and human resources for the future of the Indonesian nation.

"Pak Jokowi puts the foundation of Indonesia towards progress with equal distribution of physical infrastructure and human resource development. Nothing is not affordable and another, Pak Jokowi unites Indonesia with work," he said.

Budiman assessed that Prabowo's attitude was a characteristic of a statesman who relieved political opponents and friends of debate, so that the public could welcome election day with a cool heart. Therefore, he believes that the last debate has a big influence on Prabowo Subianto's electoral side.
