Central Java Police Ditkrimum Investigators transferred the files of eight debt collectors or "debt collectors" who were suspected of collecting collection by stealing cars belonging to customers of leasing companies to the Semarang City District Attorney's Office (Kejari).

Head of the Intelligence Section of the Semarang City Attorney General's Office, Cakra Nur Budi Hartanto, said the eight suspects were divided into two separate case files.

"One file for the location of the incident on Jalan MT Haryono and the other file for the Kedungmundu TKP," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 31.

He explained that the case files with the TKP Jalan MT Haryono consisted of six suspects each with the initials Y, P, T, A, ASL, and MAA.

The mode used, he continued, was that the perpetrators transported the victim's car which was parked in front of the leasing office.

As for the second file with suspects S and YAS, he said, the mode used was similar, namely transporting a car belonging to a leasing company customer with a towing car when it was intercepted on Jalan Kedungmundu.

The eight suspects were charged with Article 365 or 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft, or Article 368 of the Criminal Code regarding extortion.

"As for the Kedungmundu street crime scene, it is also charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code regarding persecution," he said.

The next eight suspects were still detained by the Semarang City Prosecutor's Office, but are still being placed in the custody of the Central Java Police.
