Sahroni NasDem Sewot Heru Budi Prefers To Create Flats Instead Of Handing Over Kampung Susun Bayam

General Treasurer of the NasDem Party Ahmad Sahroni is furious with the attitude of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono who will build a new flat for the residents of Kampung Bayam.

This new flat will be built because the DKI Provincial Government still does not want the residents of Kampung Bayam to inhabit the Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) which is located next to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

Sahroni assessed that Heru's policy was wrong because it was not responsible for the rights of the residents of Kampung Bayam to inhabit KSB, which was originally founded by former DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan for residents affected by the eviction of the JIS development.

"Mr. Heru, thank you for responding to my attitude with the people of Kampung Bayam, so we don't have to bother collecting your answer. But frankly your response is very disappointing and wrong because you just transfer responsibility. It's a pity for the residents to be given uncertainty again," Sahroni told reporters, Thursday, January 25.

Sahroni could not understand the attitude of the DKI Provincial Government. In fact, according to him, it would be more logical if the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo as the manager of Kampung Susun Bayam handed over the key to the housing unit to the residents of Kampung Bayam rather than building a new flat.

"It's really strange, it's just a matter of handing over. There are flats in front of your eyes, why do you have to wake up new? So this is really Pak Heru who doesn't have a heart for the people of Jakarta, the residents of Tanjung Priok. You are very wrong and don't deserve to be a leader," he said.

On that occasion, Sahroni again reminded Heru Budi that this transfer policy was not very prorakyat. Even though President Jokowi as the leader of the country is a very prorakyat president.

"This man is really a leader who is not worthy of being imitated. Very different from President Jokowi's motto, which is very concerned and cares about the community. But Pak Heru ignored that," said the Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI.

KSB was founded and inaugurated by Anies Baswedan while still serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta in October 2022. At that time, Anies built KSB to be inhabited by residents of Kampung Bayam who were affected by evictions for the construction of JIS.

The polemic between the residents of Kampung Bayam and the DKI Provincial Government began when Anies no longer served as Governor of DKI Jakarta. Initially, residents of Kampung Bayam were not allowed to inhabit KSB because they did not agree with the amount of the rental rate set by PT Jakpro as the DKI BUMD that manages it.

Jakpro offers to rent KSB at general rates, while residents want cheaper programming rates. Therefore, as a temporary solution, the government offers that they inhabit other flats in the North Jakarta area, namely the Nagrak Flat.

The completion of the matter of tariffs has ended in a dead end. The DKI Provincial Government and Jakpro now argue that KSB will be designated as the residence of JIS operational workers. Meanwhile, residents continue to demand that they be able to live in KSB.

Finally, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono decided to build a new flat which could later be inhabited by residents affected by the eviction of the JIS development.

"We continue to discuss to be able to find the right and best solution. Therefore, the local government will build flats around Priok sub-district, approximately 150 to 200 units, for whom? For trained residents and residents of Kampung Bayam," said Heru in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, Wednesday, January 24.
