3 KKB Members Yoswa Maisani's Subordinates Were Shot By Officers In Sugapa Intan Jaya

PAPUA - Head of Operations for the Cartenz Peace Task Force, Kombes Faizal Rahmadani, stated that three KKB members were shot during a firefight in Sugapa, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua. The three KKB members who were shot were involved in an attack on the Brimob Post, causing a member who was part of the Cartenz Peace Task Force to fall. "It is true from the reports received that three KKB members were shot during a shootout that occurred last Sunday, namely Oni Kobagau, Belau Network, and Agusti," said Faizal Rahmadani in a written statement received in Jayapura, Antara, Monday, January 22. Information on the shooting of the three KKB members was obtained from reports from members in the field. The three KKB members who were shot were taken away by their colleagues and they are Yoswa Maisani's subordinates, who are a group led by Guspi Waker. Yoswa Maisani himself is the field commander who leads the group. This group is known to often carry out actions that cause casualties, both in terms of security and civil society. Head of the Cartenz Peaceful Public Relations Task Force AKBP Bayu Suseno added that apart from causing a Brimob member, Brigadier Anumerta Alfando Steve Karamoy, KKB also shot a civilian, Yusak Sondegau, to death.

The incident that occurred on Friday, January 19, was led by Apen Kobogau who served as Deputy Pangkodap VIII which was carried out from behind the Telkomsel BTS tower, Bilogai Village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency.
