The East Kalimantan (Kaltim) General Election Commission (KPU) has prepared 70 polling stations (TPS) specifically for voters in prisons, social institutions, Islamic boarding schools, mining, and plantations, as well as the Nusantara State Capital (IKN) area. Sementara itu, rekapitulasi per kategori lokasi khusus, yakni lembaga pemasyarakatan (Lapas) sebanyak 32 TPS, serta panti sosial/panti rehabilitasi sebanyak satu TPS.Berikutnya di lingkungan pesantren/lokasi pendidikan sebanyak lima TPS, pertambangan sebanyak tujug TPS, perkebunan sebanyak 22 TPS, dan kawasan Ibu Kota Negara (IKN) sebanyak tiga TPS.
