Safe And Peaceful Christmas, Bogor City Residents Are Proven Tolerance And Respect Each Other

BOGOR - Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, West Java Atang Trisnanto expressed his gratitude for the security, comfort and peace felt by residents of Bogor City at every big day of every religion in the rainy city, including the 2023 Christmas celebration.

"Alhamdulillah, the residents of Bogor City respect each other and are in harmony with the various differences that exist. This is the most important social capital of our beloved city. Every moment of religious holidays is safe and peaceful, including the moment of this year's Christmas celebration", explained Atang, Thursday, December 28.

The tolerance and harmony of religious ummah in Bogor City was also strengthened by an assessment by the SETARA Institute which assessed the City of Bogor as the 4th Tolerance City for Government Action Variables and Population Based on the Tolerant City Index (IKT) report in 2022.

This achievement indicates that Bima Arya's leadership of tolerance as Mayor contributed a large score.

One of the keys to the success of the City Government is the previous protracted resolution of GKI Yasmin. Through a marathon mediation and full support for Forkopimda, Bima Arya managed to solve the problem, which was marked by the inauguration of GKI Yasmin in Ramadan in 2023 at a location not far from the original location plan.

According to Atang, public openness to various cultures, religions, and ethnicities in the city of Bogor has been a very important force to build a modern, high-ranking city in the future.

"Openness, harmony, tolerance, and mutual respect are the most important social capital to build a good City civilization. God willing, we can continue to maintain this and improve it with collaboration and togetherness", said Atang.

This 2023 Christmas celebration feels special when the atmosphere of the legislative and presidential elections continues to be safe, solemn, and peaceful. The implementation of the Christmas Mass at approximately 85 Bogor City churches was solemn and peaceful.

"To all Christians, happy with your family to celebrate Christmas with full togetherness, happiness, and peace. The highest appreciation to the Government, TNI, and Polri as well as all residents who maintain conduciveness and comfort during this Christmas celebration. Hopefully, until the turn of the year we can continue to protect together", he hoped.

Brothers and sisters between religious and between ethnic groups need to continue to be strengthened by flexible dialogue and communication. Atang is optimistic that Bogor City will continue to be a city that is harmonious, tolerant, and comfortable.
