"In response to this potential, BNPB appealed to local governments and the public to increase preparedness and vigilance in dealing with disasters, especially people living in flood-prone areas. Among other things, by routinely checking conditions along river embankments, monitoring river water discharge when it rains and forming a disaster alert team at the village level to accelerate the first handling," said Abdul.
