JAKARTA - Jakarta Integrated Highway Bogor Depok Bekasi (LRT Jabodebek) immediately repaired the leaking air conditioning (AC) in the 18 train set (train set/TS) to improve the quality of public transportation services.

"That's right, there was an AC leak in the train series (train set/TS) 18. TS 18 which had an AC leak has been replaced with another TS in Jatimulya," said Head of Public Relations of the Jabodebek LRT Kuswardojo as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, September 23.

Kuswardojo apologized for the inconvenience caused.

He said the TS was taken to the depot to be repaired and examined for causing damage.

"We brought the TS 18 to the depot to find the cause and repair it. We apologize for the inconvenience caused," he said.

The leaking AC LRT Jabodebek incident went viral on social media.

In the video upload on the Instagram account @Jalur5 Community, it can be seen that the water from the air conditioner dripped down to make the floor wet.

In the video description, it is stated that the location of the AC leak is located at TS18 at the back of the Jatimulya-Dukuh Atas (Bekasi line) route.

Previously, PT KAI (Persero) informed that starting Saturday, September 16, 2023, the Jabodebek Integrated Highway (LRT) train increased the number of trips to see the high public interest in the mode.

"Starting September 16, 2023, the Jabodebek LRT will add a travel schedule to meet the needs of Jabodebek LRT service users," said KAI Vice President Public Relations Joni Martinus.

The addition of the Jabodebek LRT trip is the result of an evaluation of the high needs of the Jabodebek LRT users and as an effort to support the government to unravel congestion in the capital city and its surroundings and overcome air pollution.
