Former Drug Rehabilitation Center Owner Arrested For Being A Methamphetamine Dealer

CIANJUR - Cianjur Police, West Java, developed a drug trafficking case by arresting a woman with the initials YSR (50) who is a former owner of a rehabilitation center in Cianjur because she was proven to have circulated dozens of packages of methamphetamine.

The Head of Cianjur Police, AKBP Aszhari Kurniawan, said that the arrest of the former counselor for the drug rehabilitation center began with information from residents who were suspicious of the activities at the perpetrator's rented house in Nagrak Village, Cianjur District.

"The perpetrator was arrested at a rented house in Nagrak Village, after a search was carried out, officers found evidence of 27 packages of methamphetamine ready for distribution with a total of 4.51 grams and electronic scales," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, August 14.

In order to arrest the larger dealers who for the past six months have supplied methamphetamine to the perpetrators, said Aszhari, his party is still developing and spreading members to arrest the perpetrators whose identities have been identified.

Kasatnarkoba Cianjur Police AKP Primadona, said that YSR had been carrying out its actions for the last six months under the pretext that the rehabilitation center he managed was no longer running, so to cover his daily needs in distributing methamphetamine.

"The illicit goods were obtained from a dealer in Jakarta whose identities we have pocketed. The perpetrators usually distribute methamphetamine to a number of areas in Cianjur, such as in the Puncak-Cipanas and Cikalongkulon areas," he said.

Apart from being a dealer, the perpetrators also became a drug abuser, so that his party ensnared the perpetrators under Article 114 junto Article 112 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of life imprisonment.

Not only YSR for the past week, added Primadona, his party arrested four methamphetamine dealers from different locations and did not include the network of the former counselor, including MA (19), R (28), RA (28), and AF (27).

From the hands of the perpetrators, 66 grams of crystal methamphetamine was confiscated, the four perpetrators were charged under Article 114 junto Article 112 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of life imprisonment.
