JAKARTA - The West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit is still handling the case of an accident caused by a dangling aerial cable on KS Tubun II Street, Palmerah, West Jakarta which occurred on Wednesday, August 9, around 22.50 WIB.

In this accident case, the vehicle involved was a fuso truck with the number BE 9066 YV with an aerial cable belonging to Telkom.

"The vehicle that was involved in the Fuso truck driven by M Yusuf Daulay (40) from Deli Serdang hit a cable belonging to Telkom," said Head of Traffic Unit for West Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Agus Suwito when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, August 10.

As a result of the accident, the evidence that was secured was a fuso truck along with an STNK and general BII class driver's license belonging to a truck driver named M Yusuf Daulay.

"The cause of the accident is still under investigation," he said.

AKP Agus Suwito said the incident started when the truck was driving from the south to the north. Arriving at the Slipi traffic light, the truck turns right across Jalan KS Tubun II.

"On arrival near Indomaret 78 in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta, the fuso truck got caught in a cable that extent overhead, causing the cable to fall down to the bottom of the asphalt," he said.

Currently, the truck driver is still being detained by the West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit to undergo an examination. While the case is being handled by Unit 3 of the Satlantas Satlantas West Jakarta Police.
