"For this affirmation, we adopted the process in the ministry, which was given to prospective students from Papua and underdeveloped, outermost, and frontier (3T) areas. Then in PKS, 30 percent affirmation authority was given to each rector, whether it was for local sons or sons and daughters of lecturers," he said.
He also said that every state university is given the right to determine the PMB quota in accordance with the laws and regulations, where from 100 percent of the quota is divided into two parts, namely 70 percent of graduation determined by the established system and 30 percent of others determined by the rectors of each PTN through affirmation channels.
"From the 100 percent quota, 70 percent of passes are determined by the system, while 30 percent is submitted to their respective rectors through affirmation channels. Likewise, the affirmation criteria are submitted to their respective rectors," he said.
Aras also said that the affirmation pathway, not determined or based on the value of the passing grade that must be met by prospective students, but according to the rules, it must also pay attention to the quality control of prospective students.
"The benchmark of the passing grade does not exist, so it is submitted to each rector," he said.
