Strong Winds And Landa Landa Kabandungan Sukabumi

SUKABUMI - A strong wind disaster (bullet) and landslide occurred at several points in Kabandungan, Sukabumi Regency, West Java, resulting in a number of houses being affected.

"The disaster was triggered by extreme weather such as heavy rain accompanied by strong winds that hit Kabandungan District from noon to evening," said Public Relations of the Sukabumi Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Sandra Fitria, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 1.

Strong winds caused a large puspa tree to fall and hit a resident's house inhabited by four people in Cipicung Village, RT 04/01, Cianaga Village.

Next, one resident's house in Ciaul Village, Mekarjaya Village, which is inhabited by nine people, was damaged on the roof due to being hit by a tornado.

Furthermore, the landslide disaster in Tangkolo Village, RT 26/10, Kabandungan Village threatened two houses.

According to Sandra, at this disaster, there were no injuries or deaths, only the houses affected by the tornado need tarpaulins or asbestos because they were damaged on the roof.

The puspa tree trunk that hit residents' houses in Cipicung Village has been evacuated by joint officers from BPBD, TNI, and Polri elements as well as the community.

In addition, the Kabandungan District Disaster Management Officer (P2BK) is still on standby around the landslide location, precisely in Tangkolo Village because it is feared that the cliffs as high as 5 meters and 20 meters long will landslide again.

Therefore, his party urges residents whose houses are near the cliffs to always be vigilant. If it rains heavily and there is the potential for further landslides, it is better to evacuate to a safer place first.
