JAKARTA - Apple Inc has restricted the use of ChatGPT and other external artificial intelligence (AI) tools for its employees as Apple is developing similar technologies. This was revealed in a Wall Street Journal report on Thursday, May 18, citing a document and reliable sources.
Apple is worried that confidential data will be leaked by employees who use these AI programs. The company has also advised its employees not to use Microsoft's Copilot, GitHub, which is used to automate software code writing, the report said.
Last month, OpenAI, the creators of ChatGPT, announced the introduction of an "incognito mode" for ChatGPT that doesn't save a user's conversation history or use it to enhance artificial intelligence.
