Vice President Ma'ruf Calls The Decline In Mobility In West Java Not As Good As DKI Jakarta, Pak Ridwan Kamil?

JAKARTA - Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin said that the decline in community mobility in West Java had not been seen significantly during the implementation of Emergency PPKM. Especially in shopping centers, West Java has not been as much as DKI Jakarta and even Bali.

“I fully understand the difficulties in West Java. This is also reflected in data from the Google Community Mobility Report as of July 16, 2021 in West Java Province, the decline in mobility in shopping and recreation centers has not been as far as in the Provinces of DKI Jakarta and Yogyakarta as well as Bali,” said Ma'ruf, Friday, July 23.

While mobility in the workplace, continued Ma'ruf, West Java and Bali the decline has not been as far as the DKI Province. According to him, there needs to be additional efforts so that the implementation of restrictions can run better, such as regulating traders in the markets.

For example, during the PPKM leveling period, especially street vendors in markets who are given the opportunity to do business and do not let the process go unnoticed.

"Need regulation and need supervision. So that they can trade but not become a cluster of COVID-19," explained Ma'ruf.

In addition, he added, hard work and cooperation are also needed in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. Among other things, improving coordination so that there are no differences in data or views between the local government and the central government.

The vice president stated that he encouraged and facilitated better coordination between the central and regional governments.

"I also want to know that all parties have worked hard and have carried out their duties as well as possible. But indeed the pandemic requires extra hard work and shoulder-to-shoulder cooperation between the center and the regions," said Ma'ruf Amin.
