Governor Bi Perry Warjiyo's Office Was Also Searched By The KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that the office of the Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo was also searched by investigators. This forced effort is said to be related to allegations of corruption in the misuse of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

"Yesterday we went to Bank Indonesia there were several rooms that we searched, including the BI Governor's room," Rudi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 17.

Meanwhile, KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika said there were a number of findings from the search on Monday, December 16.

"(There is, red) electronic evidence and documents," he said.

This search is based on an investigation warrant issued on Monday, December 16. Later, the findings obtained by investigators will be confirmed during the witness summoning process.

Previously reported, the KPK some time ago conducted an investigation regarding the alleged corruption of CSR funds at Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) which allegedly occurred in 2023. It is suspected that the money was channeled inappropriately.

KPK Director of Investigation Asep Guntur said that CSR funds should not be properly distributed. However, this case is the opposite.

"This means that there are several, for example, CSR is 100, only 50 are used. The 50 (others, red) are not used. The problem is the 50 of which are not used. Used for personal gain, for example, now that is a problem," he told reporters at a press conference, Wednesday, September 18.
