There Are A Number Of Rooms That The KPK Ransacked At The BI Office

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched a number of office rooms of Bank Indonesia on Monday, December 16. This forced effort is related to allegations of corruption in the use of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds from BI and the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

"There are several rooms that we entered (search, red) and we have obtained some," said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Rudi Setiawan to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, January 17.

Investigators are said to have searched a number of rooms, based on the information obtained. One of them, BI Governor Perry Warijiyo's office.

However, Rudi did not want to specify the room. He only said the search was carried out at night.

"Approximately at 19.00 WIB," he said.

The evidence obtained by investigators from this activity has not been detailed. However, he confirmed that anyone related would be summoned.

Previously reported, the KPK some time ago conducted an investigation regarding the alleged corruption of CSR funds at Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) which allegedly occurred in 2023. There are allegations of improper use of money.
