JAKARTA - The Supreme Court (MA) has invited the Attorney General's Office (AGO) to examine Supreme Court Justice Soesilo who gave a dissenting opinion in the decision on the cassation level of the murder case that ensnared Ronald Tannur.

"Yes, go ahead. Every citizen can be a witness, right? Can they be examined as witnesses," said the spokesman for the Supreme Court, Yanto, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 16.

However, he said two prosecutors had followed the process of examining former MA officials who were suspects in the alleged bribery case related to Ronald Tannur's verdict, Zarof Ricar (ZR).

Yanto explained that during the examination, ZR was asked about a meeting with Supreme Court Justice Soesilo.

"It wasn't intentional. Not planned. It attended the inauguration of the professor. One went out of the elevator. One was about to enter the elevator. It was asked (about Ronald Tannur, ed.) and there was no response," he explained.

Meanwhile, Yanto explained that Judge Agung Soesilo had been questioned by a team from the Supreme Court. However, Yanto did not mention in detail the presence of the prosecutor at the examination of Supreme Court Justice Soeslio as when explaining the examination experienced by ZR.

"Likewise, after being asked to S, the answer was the same. Right to meet, offend (the case, ed.), but there was no response," he said.

Based on a copy of the cassation decision Number 1466 K/Pid/2024, Supreme Court Justice Soesilo gave a different opinion by concluding that Ronald Tannur did not have a rea Minister's intention to commit a criminal act. Therefore, he considered that the decision of the Surabaya District Court which released Ronald Tannur was correct.
